Lately I have been feeling a bit sluggish with working out. Some days I feel extremely motivated, but it doesn’t amount to any physical activity.
So today I got up and made a decision that I was going to be serious and commit to a better lifestyle as a relates to fitness.
Picked up the phone, called my friend and insisted that WE (because I surely needed some coaching along the way) run the Woodrow Wilson bridge which is about a 7 mile run if you completed from start to finish. So our intentions were to run about 3 miles, but in the mist of joking while running, it oddly turned into a 4 mile run.
It felt pretty awesome to accomplish such distance, ESPECIALLY since I hadn’t been on a long distance run in a minute. I probably should have stretched better, because now I’m in a world of pain! My hips seriously hurt… nonetheless I feel great about jumpstarting my physical fitness routine, and plan to do some crossfit next week =) sometimes you just have to get out there and do it! It feels great to be active again.
